Listened to this before reading the background and inspiration behind the album. Even without context, I could sense the intimacy and emotional complexity of this work. Not "dark ambient" but heavy and deep. Not foreboding but carries the weight of both memory and youthful potential. There is a quality of the unknown in the drones and loops, it's a little scary but inspires childlike wonder. I wonder if that's what Daniel's home felt like: endless & mysterious but also familiar & comforting. Todd Skinner
Feels like walking through the woods in November and you can see rain falling all around you but right where you are, everything is dry and perfect. Alex Kinsel
